About

Hi, my name is Chris Ross and I am currently work for Cention on ferite and related projects.
I love to code and have a particular interest in programming languages and graphics programming. I was born in 1981, which makes me about 26 (27 this year).
I am an avid Linux fan (and now a OS X fan), I think it is the best thing since sliced bread and I use it all the time and have been for about 10 years now. I have, in the past, worked on the enlightenment project and other related software.
My main project at the moment is the ferite scripting language. Please see here or here for more information. I have also worked on a number of other projects including Interactive Documents (a dynamic online documentation system).
I have the ability to program almost anything and have good experience in C, C++ (including Visual C++), Java, Objective C, ferite, Perl, Python, Ruby, Pascal, Delphi, SQL, Assembly language and a few others. I am also highly familiar with databases, networking, web technologies, graphics and other technologies. I have programmed under Linux, Solaris, Mac OS X, MS-DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 9x, and Windows NT. And yet, I am still surprised to have a social life!
I am more than a little obsessed with kite flying and regularly kiteboard (water), kite-landboard (land) and will be going snow-kiting at various points.
