I was going through my calendar to add some events specifically a mountain biking weekend with the local Sussex MTB guys. I noticed that the date for the mtb, 4th and 5th April, was already tagged.

I had two events in my iCal for getting married. The original date for the wedding 4th April and the real date the 14th March. Emma was noted as an attendee on both. As the original date is now a mountain biking weekend in Wales, I changed the description and removed Emma from attendees. iCal, being hyper helpful, sent off a cancelled event email to Emma. Without closer inspection (opening the iCal file) you’d be forgiven for thinking I was cancelling the actual wedding!

Can you imagine though, if this is how you declared the event cancelled?

This is a curious law trying to be passed in the state of Texas. The general gist is that people working on computer repair are likely to have to require a PI (Private Investigator) license due to a miss-understanding/miss-wording of the law brief.
